PacMan Cabinet Restored

Description

I don't really know where this was supposed to fit here on DeviantArt, but it is definitely becoming a piece of artwork to me, especially after the 100+ man hours I have put into it.

This cabinet started out life as a PacMan upright. I purchased it in fall 2002 for $75 as a heavily abused Super Mario Brothers (it had been converted inside and spraypainted black over the beautiful original PacMan sideart). Unfortunately the Art couldn't be saved during the paint stripping.

Currently I am awaiting some $$ to purchase replacement art panels and this baby will be finished.

Modifications from the original:

Replaced the original 352x240 ntsc monitor with a 21" Trinitron SVGA monitor running at 1600*1200, custom fabricated mounting frame for the monitor, custom fabricated steel control panel surface with more custom built interface controllers to make the controls into standard USB input devices, new halogen light for the marquee up top, a set of 2.1 speakers with a nicely sized subwoofer in the bottom, Light-gun (not pictured), custom mounted and configured computer mounted to the side walls, mounted CDRW and DVDRW drives behind the coin collector for easy front access, New rear panel with a 22" plexiglass window in it to see the beautiful interior, auto switched interior lighting, industrial mounted USB hub for front access. It is also cable tv ready thanks to the tv tuner and has a remote control :)

The PC is running an Athlon XP 1800+ processor overclocked to 1.9ghz on a 1U extremely quiet Vantec copper heatsink. It has 512mb DDR memory @ 190mhz fsb, a 120gig Western Digital 8mb hard drive, a Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb video card, 802.11b wireless ethernet, a Leadktek TV tuner 2000XP Deluxe video tuner and capture card, LiteOn 52xCDRW, Optorite 4xDVD+/-RW drives.

This cabinet is currently setup to play a little over 20,000 games through the customized game loader, but there are nearly 40,000 total games playable on there.
